4 SILICONE COMPOUND 
Dielectric silicone lubricant and sealant. 
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:  
    Lub-O-Seal 4 Silicone is a silica-thickened, 
polydimethyl silicone compound designed to meet 
the requirements of MIL-PRF-8660 (Mil-S-8660C).  
It has excellent dielectric properties, is highly water 
repellent, resistant to oxidation, essentially nontoxic and non-melting. Lub-O-Seal 4 is easily 
spreadable, will not dry out in service and will 
retain its consistency at temperatures ranging from 
–40 to +400 F (-40 to +204 C).  It is non-corrosive, 
odorless, resistant to a variety of chemicals, and 
works well in lubricating most plastic and rubber 
components.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE:  
    Lub-O-Seal 4 is not greatly affected by mineral 
or vegetable oils, is generally resistant to dilute 
acids and alkaline, and to most aqueous solutions.  
Because each application  may vary in chemical 
composition, pressure, flow velocity, lubrication 
frequency and equipment design, it is 
recommended that the silicone be tested before 
adopting for regular use. 
FOR USE ON:  
    Lub-O-Seal 4 Silicone compound can be used in 
a variety of applications requiring high moisture 
resistance, high dielectric, lubricity, and release or 
sealing properties.  It  can be used on equipment 
requiring temperatures or mechanical stability.
 • Insulate and moisture proof ignition systems and   
   spark plugs connections in aircraft, automotive    
   and marine applications. 
 • Lubricate o-rings, gaskets, seals and packings. 
 • Barrier coating  in mildly corrosive environments 
 • Lubricate rubber & plastic-to-metal assemblies. 
 • Seal and protect cables, connectors, switches,    
    battery terminals, junctions & rubber door seals. 
 • Protective coating for electronic ignition systems. 
  
RESTRICTIONS:
This product should NOT be used in oxygen service or applications requiring oxygen compatibility.
