Hylomar Exhaust Assembly Paste
Description
Hylomar Exhaust Assembly Paste is a water based, heat curing jointing compound. It has been
specifically designed for use in the assembly of exhaust systems for automotive and other general
applications. The asbestos free formulation will withstand both pressure and temperatures
typically found in vehicle exhaust systems.

Directions for use.
Ensure the surfaces to be joined are clean and free of loose rust, dirt and grease. Abrade the
surface with medium emery paper. Spread the paste liberally to all joints in the system and
assemble the joint immediately after application. Run the engine at low speed until warm and the
paste will set to form a gas tight seal.
CAUTION: Avoid running engines in confined spaces.
Typical Applications
For use as an exhaust assembly compound, to lubricate joints and make assembly easier and faster.
When heated the product cures to form a gas tight seal which is both carbon monoxide proof and
resistant to vibration.
Any equipment used in the application of Hylomar Exhaust Assembly Paste may be cleaned using
water or a detergent solution
Handling & Safety.
The shelf life of Hylomar Exhaust Assembly Paste is 12 months when kept in original
unopened containers and stored in dry, well ventilated conditions away from strong sun light and
frost.
The product is not considered as hazardous under current health & safety regulations
