European Union Food Regulations
 
  • Under Commission Regulation (EU) No 1129/2011 of 11 November 2011 amending Annex II to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council by establishing a Union list of food additives, the active substance in this product is authorized as E900 to be used in the following categories and under the following conditions of use: - Fats and oils essentially free from water (excluding anhydrous milkfat): ML = 10 mg/kg, only oils and fats for frying; - Other fat and oil emulsions including spreads as defined by Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 and liquid emulsions: ML = 10 mg/kg, only oils and fats for frying; - Canned or bottled fruit and vegetables: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Jam, jellies and marmalades and sweetened chestnut purée as defined by Directive 2001/113/EC: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Other similar fruit or vegetable spreads: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Other confectionery including breath freshening microsweets: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Decorations, coatings and fillings, except fruit-based fillings covered by category 4.2.4: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Batters: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Soups and broths: ML = 10 mg/kg; - Fruit juices as defined by Directive 2001/112/EC and vegetable juices: ML = 10 mg/l, only pineapple juice and Sod...saft and sodet...saft; - Flavoured drinks: ML = 10 mg/l; - Cider and perry: ML = 10 mg/l, excluding cidre bouché; - Chewing gum: ML = 100 mg/kg.
  • - The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to German BfR Recommendation XV on Silicone for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XV zu Silicone), when cured as recommended by Dow Corning.
  • - The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to German BfR Recommendation XXXVI on paper and board for food contact (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für den Lebensmittelkontakt). This Recommendation is valid for paper or paperboard which is intended to be used at temperatures up to 90 °C (holding and reheating of food).
  • When used as an additive or polymer production aid, and/or as monomer or other starting material for the manufacture of plastic materials and plastic articles: - The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 of 14 January 2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, and amendments.
  • - The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to German BfR Recommendation XXXVI/2 on Paper and Paperboard for Baking Purposes (BfR-Empfehlungen XXXVI/2 zu Papiere, Kartons und Pappen für Backzwecke).
  • The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to Resolution ResAP(2004)5 on silicones used for food contact applications (Adopted by the Committee of Ministers on 1 December 2004 at the 907th meeting of the Ministers Deputies) (replacing Resolution AP (99) 3)
  • When used as additive for the manufacture of preparations from printing inks and varnishes intended for printing on the non-food contact surface of materials and articles: - The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to Swiss Ordinance of the FDHA on Materials and Articles (RS 817.023.21) of 23 November 2005, Section 8b on Packaging Inks. All substances present in this product are listed on Annex 6 Part A or Part B.
  • Under Commission Regulation (EU) No 1130/2011 of 11 November 2011 amending Annex III to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council on food additives by establishing a Union list of food additives approved for use in food additives, food enzymes, food flavourings and nutrients, the active substance in this product is authorized as E900 to be used in the following categories and under the following conditions of use: - Glazing agents for fruit: at quantum satis (Definition of quantum satis is provided in Regulation (EC) 1333/2008 on Food Additives, Article 3 (h)); - Colour preparations of E160a carotenes, E160b annatto, bixin, norbixin, E160c Paprika extract, capsanthin, capsorubin, E160d lycopene and E160e beta-apo-8′- carotenal: maximum level = 200 mg/kg in the preparation, 0,2 mg/l in final food; - All flavourings: maximum level = 10 mg/kg in flavourings; - In preparations of beta-carotene and lycopene (nutrients): maximum level = 200 mg/kg in the preparation, 0,2 mg/l in final food.
  • None of the substances present in this product is currently subject to specification or restriction pursuant to Regulation EU 10/2011, and amendments.
  • FCM 575 present in this product meets the requirements set out in Regulation EU 10/2011.
  • None of the substances present in this product is currently subject to specification or restriction pursuant to Annex 6 of Swiss Ordinance of the FDHA on Materials and Articles (RS 817.023.21) of 23 November 2005
  • The authorized food additive substance present in this product meets the requirements defined in Commission Regulation (EU) 231/2012 of 9 March 2012 laying down specifications for food additives listed in Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
  • The composition of this product has been positively assessed according to Real Decreto 847/2011 on polymer materials intended to come in contact with food (Real Decreto 847/2011, de 17 de junio, por el que se establece la lista positiva de sustancias permitidas para la fabricación de materiales poliméricos destinados a entrar en contacto con los alimentos).
