Description
Hylomar Hyloseal 610 Blue is a soft two-part polyurethane epoxy resin system. It has been specifically
designed for use as a compression seal. It should be pre-applied to one of the sides of the mating
components’ surface and allowed to cure, prior to assembly. Clamping the two components together
compresses the sealant and therefore effects a seal.
Hylomar Hyloseal 610 Blue has excellent chemical resistance to most industrial oils/ fluids. It will
function in temperatures up to 120oC.
After application, the sealant can be left at room temperature to cure by its epoxy reaction.
Alternatively, increasing the ambient temperature can reduce cure times.

Instructions for use.
The resin and hardener should be mixed in the ratio 2 parts resin to 1 part hardener. To ensure a
consistent coating of the Hylomar Hyloseal 610 Blue on the component surface, it is best applied
via automatic dispensing equipment. An uneven coating height will create differing compression
levels along the sealant bead.

Typical Applications
Hylomar Hyloseal 610 Blue, is ideally used as a replacement for traditional independent gaskets or
seals such as o-rings or cork gaskets. The elimination of these types of gaskets can improve
productivity/ assembly time. It can also give financial saving from a ‘piece-part’ and inventory view-
point.
Handling and Safety Properties
Hylomar 610 Blue resin is classified as Xi, Irritant.
600 Blue hardener is classified as Harmful and Corrosive.
For part A, Risk phrases = R36/38, R43 and R51/53. Safety phrases = S24/25, S26 and S36/37.
For part B, Risk phrases = R22, R34, R43, R50/53, R62 and R63.
Safety phrases = S26, R36/37/39, R45, R46, R60 and R61.
However once applied and cured, Hylomar Hyloseal 610 Blue is inert and not classed as hazardous.
