Description
Hylosil 923 is a two-component, medium viscosity liquid silicone, specially designed to
protect the electrical characteristics of electronic circuits. This clear product cures in place to
form a cushioning, self-healing, resilient gel-like mass when the two components are
thoroughly mixed in a 1:1 ratio either by weight or volume.

Instructions for use
To ensure maximum reliability and performance of this product the substrates must be
thoroughly cleaned of all contaminants such as oil grease solder flux moisture and dirt.
Suitable cleaning solvents include acetone, methylethylketone, toluene, xylene etc.
ultrasonic cleaning is most efficient where needed.
Where adhesion is required to ensure complete environmental protection, a primer should
be applied. The two-part adhesive must be mixed thoroughly in the ratio of 1:1. The open
time is approximately 10 minutes.

Typical Applications
The adhesive quality of this product together with its highly hydrophobic properties, make
this product ideally suited for applications that require long term sealing against moisture
and other atmospheric contaminants such as fibre optics. These properties are particularly
desirable where both high and low temperature cycling is involved.

The shelf life of Hylosil 923 is 12 months when stored in original unopened
containers between 5° and 25°C.
