Non-setting gasket/sealing compound
Description
Hylomar M Aerosol is primarily for fine coating of traditional gaskets and components. The product
has all of the advantages of Hylomar M but is considerably more convenient to apply.

Resistant to Air, turbine and piston engine combustion products,
water, glycol/water and methanol/water mixtures,
petroleum and synthetic diester lube oils, gasoline and
kerosene fluids (both Avtur and Avcat) and some
fluorocarbon refrigerants.
Joint face materials Harmless to all metals
Electrical metallic’s No staining of copper and silver etc. from traces of
volatiles at elevated temperature, and therefore suitable
for joints and threads in close proximity to switch
mechanisms etc.
Flammability Extremely flammable due to aerosol gases and
acetone. After application, compound is not flammable.
Elapse of time between coating Approximately 5 - 10 minutes. Maximum time indefinite,
and assembly of joint faces satisfactory after several weeks.
Stud loading Torque to required figure, allow a few minutes for the
compound to settle, then re-torque to the required
figure.
Instructions for use
The surface should be clean dry and free from grease or oil contamination. A uniform film of
Hylomar M Aerosol should be sprayed directly onto each surface. If the compound is to be applied
directly onto flange surfaces, care should be taken to prevent excess compound entering oilways
or galleries as blockages may result. Allow the solvent to evaporate. Assemble the joint, bolt down
and re-tighten after a few minutes. To remove the compound from dismantled joints use a cloth
soaked in Acetone. No scraping is required.

Hylomar M Aerosol is ideal for coating pre-formed gaskets, weather proofing motors and outdoor,
high voltage circuit breakers and flanges where large surface areas are involved.

Extremely Flammable. Irritant.

The shelf life of Hylomar M Aerosol is 12 months when stored in the original unopened containers
between 5° and 25°C, in a dry place, out of direct sunlight.
