High temperature single part anaerobic retainer
Description
Hylomar 6655 is a high temperature, single part, anaerobic retaining adhesive for cylindrical parts. It
gives a high strength bond and in its uncured state has a high/ medium viscosity. When fully cured
the product is highly resistant to heat, corrosion, vibrations, water, gases, oils, hydrocarbons and
many other chemicals.

*Curing Properties
The curing times shown in the table above are averages. The actual curing speed is heavily
dependant on the gap size, the temperature and the type of material. Inactive surfaces, large gap
sizes and low temperatures will all increase the cure time. If a faster cure is desired a suitable
activator can be used to achieve this.

Chemical Resistance
Steal shears were bonded using Hylomar 6655 and left to cure for 24 hours before immersing them
in the test fluid.

Instructions for Use
For best results ensure that both surfaces are clean, dry and free from contamination such as oil or
grease. Surfaces may be cleaned using Hylomar Cleaner or an equivalent product.
Prior to assembly apply sufficient product to both surfaces. Assemble the components, taking care
not to disturb them until sufficient handling strength has developed. After initial cure any excess
Hylomar 6655 can be easily wiped away using a cloth soaked in Hylomar Cleaner.
Typical applications
Hylomar 6655 is a high strength, high temperature, general purpose, retaining adhesive for use on
cylindrical fitting components including, bushings, sleeves, shafts and rotors.
