Technical Grade Petroleum Jelly (Meets VV-P-236)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Lub-O-Seal Red Petrolatum is a multi-purpose lubricant that can be used in a variety of applications. It is
designed to meet the requirements of VV-P-236. It is a reddish brown, grease like petroleum jelly that forms a
soft, translucent coating which is non-drying and non-hardening.
TYPICAL PROPERTIES:
Color: Brownish red to amber tint
Appearance: Smooth, semi-solid paste
Separation: None
Melting Point: 135 ° F
Congealing Point: 120 ° F
APPLICATIONS:
• Corrosion preventative
• General purpose industrial lubricant
• O-ring lubricant
• Used in buffing and polishing compounds
• Wire or cable pulling lubricant
RESTRICTIONS:
As with all petroleum base products, these lubricants should NOT be used in oxygen service.
