Standard Cure Epoxy Putty
Description
Hylofix 40 is a high strength epoxy-putty with a longer working time than Hylofix 10. Hylofix 40 can be used
in many applications to bond a wide variety of substrates. The putty can be mixed easily by hand and, when
cured, can be sanded, drilled, filled or machined. The longer working time allows more time for mixing,
applying and moulding the product before leaving it to set.

Instructions for use
For best results the surfaces to be bonded should be roughened with a suitable abrasive material and
cleaned, ensuring they are free from any dust, rust or grease. Cut the desired amount of Hylofix and mix
thoroughly by hand until a uniform colour is achieved. Mixing should be completed within the working time.
Apply the product to the substrate and allow to set, again this should be completed within the working time.
The joint will be bonded within the functional cure time of 40 minutes; however it may be 90 minutes before
the bond reaches full strength.

Hylofix 10 is considered non-hazardous under normal use but for further information please see the product
safety data sheet.
Shelf life
12 months when stored between +5 and 250C in the original, unopened container.
